The Assistant Director is one of two officers for the Band and serves in a capacity similar to an executive officer for the organization. Duties will include conducting one of the country’s finest military bands in concerts and ceremonies, program planning, leading the Band’s educational initiatives, and serving as a liaison with leadership at USCG Headquarters and Academy. Other duties will be assigned based on the candidate’s strengths and organizational needs.
The USCG Band is one of six congressionally appointed premier bands and serves as the sole musical representative for the Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security.
